Online diploma course:
Teaching and Learning for a Sustainable
Futur
The diploma course has curricular value
by the Secretary of Public Education of Federal
Government. Grupo Ecológico Sierra Gorda offers the
diploma, via the virtual campus of the Autonomous
University of Querétaro.
Starting date: April 12, 2010
Duration:
105 hours online and 40 hours onsite for
17 weeks
Target audience: Teachers, technical staff in
conservation, NGO personnel, students, and people
interested in the topic.

Querétaro Handicrafts Fair,
March 26 – 28
The Artisans Fair
will be held in the Guerrero Garden of Querétaro
City, open daily from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
The event was
organized by the Mexican Secretary
of Tourism (SECTUR) and Secretary of Sustainable
Development (SEDESU).
Sierra Gorda
Products and Services will be there offering
products from the communities located within the
Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve, such as ceramics,
embroideries, preserves, and herbal products.

Sierra Gorda Ecotours
The ecotourism destination in Rincón del Ojo de Agua
in
San Juan de los Durán (Jalpan de Serra, Querétaro)
remains a popular place for university students
seeking to have contact with nature. The vacations
period from Saturday to Monday, March 13-15,
facilitated the visit of 54 students and professors
from the Iberoamerican University in Mexico City who
occupied the entire eco-lodge and campaing area in
order to hold their academic activities in the
country and to have a meeting close to nature.
